1972 COMPACT JR CAMPER MADE FOR VOLKSWAGEN BUS

Who knew they made a hippy trailer to outfit the VW bus? Like it's owner, perhaps, this puppy needs a shower and shave. Otherwise, I've got to say that this is such an inspired design, a matching trailer and truck. I'm feeling something like "free love" for this trailer. It's no crime to love many, many trailers! How could you not? It's like a canvas on wheels, just waiting for flower power symbols and decals. I'd very much like to own one some day, just for possibility of decorating it in fabulous 60's decor and colors, of course with a lean towards the minimalist 60's rather than the walled carpets 60's decor that thank God grew moldy and died. I picture a built in stereo system with a record player that blows the pop-top off this baby, something to showcase a collection of psychedelic garage rock records from Aquarius Records, such as the Yodeling Astrologer. Far out, friends.

  3. I recently became the proud owner of one of these 1972 Hunter Compact Jr. beauties. Do you have any insight on how to repair / replace the netting attached to the pop top roof? Thanks!
